Hi gang,
After many, many a year in-house at magazines, I’m taking the leap and going out on my own (how many more cliches can I squeeze in?). I’ve had a wonderful stint at Stylist Magazine, but I knew in my heart that now was the right time. It’s been a particularly special end to my time there, as I got to write the Feb fashion issue cover story, which is out now.
Over the last few years, I’ve tried to balance being a full-time social media director whilst being a features writer/editor on the side, running FGRLS CLUB, having a newsletter, and pursuing poetry. And NGL, this has caused me to routinely burnout. I like having my toe in lots of different waters, I like being busy, I like being creative, and I like spinning plates - and I want to do that but also have time for me.
I’m so so excited for this new career chapter, and VERY happy to announce I’m becoming a Contributing Editor at GLAMOUR, writing weekly features on my usual gambit. GLAMOUR was my home for a long time, and I’m really excited to be back writing for such a wonderful publication and team.
Going forward I’ll be available for commissions (politics, feminism, fashion, beauty, culture!), editing, social media/strategy consulting, poetry, content creation, speaking events and copywriting.
With this new found freedom, I’m going to be ramping up on It’s Not That Bad, and publish more newsletters. I’d love to know your thoughts - how does a weekly email, every Sunday, sound? Let me know in the chat.
